Inter will pay half of striker Andrea Pinamonti’s wages while he is on loan at Empoli during this season.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that as part of the agreement for the 22-year-old’s dry loan at the newly-promoted Serie A club, the Nerazzurri will be on the hook for 50% of the player’s wages.

Pinamonti has been thought to be close to the exit door at Inter for much of the summer transfer window and a number of clubs have come forward with an interest in his signature, but it is Empoli who have won the chase for his signature.

The Tuscan club will bring Pinamonti in on loan for the season, but given his sizable wages with the Nerazzurri they will not pay the full amount, and the Nerazzurri will still contribute half of his total salary for the season in order to make the move feasible.
