Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez will not be included in the Chilean national team’s squad list during the upcoming international break while he recovers from a calf injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 32-year-old will miss the international fixtures and that the aim is to have him ready to return to the pitch sometime during the Nerazzurri’s matches during September.

Sanchez has been dealing with a persistent calf issue, which caused him to miss all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with his country, and which has also meant he cannot participate in the first two Serie A matches with Inter.

This time out will extend through the upcoming international break, although the club are currently aiming to have the player fit enough to be available for the first match back after the international break, an away trip to Sampdoria on September 12.
