Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini wil not feature in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona on Friday, as he is still recovering from a knee injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the knock which was picked up a few weeks ago in training is set to render him unavailable for selection.

Gagliardini’s recovery from the injury is going well, but the 27-year-old will not be rushed back for the Verona encounter, the second fixture of the Serie A season for the Nerazzurri.

The hope is that the midfielder will be able to make his return to the pitch for the club fixtures in September following the international break.

Right now the outlook for Gagliardini looks good and despite the fact that he will miss both of the opening two matches of the season he is well on track to be available going forward.
