Alexis Sanchez will remain at Inter until at least the January transfer window, with the Chilean’s injury struggles meaning that no clubs have seriously come in for him.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will not shift the 32-year-old on before the summer transfer window closes due to his persistent fitness problems and that they will continue to assess his situation.

Sanchez has been dealing with a calf injury for much of the summer, having been ruled out of participating in all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with his country, and this has continued through preseason and also caused him to miss at least the first two Serie A matches of the Nerazzurri’s season.

It is still unclear when he will return to the pitch, but the Nerazzurri are still not certain on his situation and not likely to either see him depart or bring in a replacement while his situation is up in the air.
