Inter have not given up on signing Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, and could make a late push to sign the Uruguayan before the window shuts.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the the 25-year-old is still on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

Especially in the case that one more departure is to be seen from the Nerazzurri’s squad which would make room for the 25-year-old, they could quickly swoop for him.

Inter had been in advanced talks with Cagliari for Nandez earlier this month, but the negotiations eventually broke down over the Rossoblu’s refusal to accept the Nerazzurri’s financial terms and preferred formula for the deal.

The player still wants an Inter move, and the Nerazzurri have not lost interest in bringing him in, thought it remains to be seen whether they could convince the Rossoblu on a move before the transfer window slams shut.
