New Inter signing Joaquin Correa has said goodbye to Lazio supporters following his move away from the Biancocelesti to join his new club.

The Argentine is soon to complete the switch to the Nerazzurri where he will link up with former Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi, and he gave his parting thoughts to the fans of his former club.

Correa spent three seasons with the Biancocelesti, making 117 appearances and scoring thirty goals in all competitions since joining from Sevilla in the summer of 2018.

However, the 27-year-old has decided that it is time for a new challenge, and he has accepted the offer from the Nerazzurri to come in as part of the attempt to defend last season’s Scudetto crown.

The Argentine forward is excited about his new opportunity with Inter, but he is still grateful to Lazio and to their fans for embracing him and giving him an opportunity to move his career in the right direction.

“It is never easy to express in a few lines a message that contains many emotions,” he wrote to Lazio supporters, “A special thanks goes to the Lazio fans, tot the club, and to my teammates, in a word to all those with whom I have shared so many emotions in these three seasons.”

He continued, “Above all, the goals and victories in the Coppa Italia and Super Cup, but not only these – I will always carry with me all the battles, won and lost, together. One thing is certain: every day I have always tried to honour the Lazio shirt.”

“Now I have reached an important point in my career,” the Argentine concluded, “an important opportunity, and I decided to take it. But this does not cancel these three wonderful years. For me it was an honour and a privilege to be part of this family. Avanti Lazio!”
