Cagliari intend to make a late bid for Inter striker Martin Satriano, but Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi wants to keep the Uruguayan in his squad until at least January.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Rossoblu are monitoring Satriano as a replacement for the departed Giovanni Simeone but that Inzaghi does not want to let him go before the end of the transfer window.

Satriano has already made his first-team debut for Inter, coming off the bench in last weekend’s opening-day win over Genoa, and the Nerazzurri manager still considers him to be a part of the plan after an impressive preseason.

A number of clubs in Italy and elsewhere in Europe have already shown an interest in the 20-year-old, and Cagliari could make a late push for him after having seen the departure of Simeone for Hellas Verona, but Inzaghi will ask that the player be kept in the squad until at least the next transfer window.
