Ex-Udinese Director Nereo Bonato: “Inter Have Made Prudent Signings In Edin Dzeko & Joaquin Correa”

Former Udinese Director Nereo Bonato believes that Inter have made intelligent signings in the form of attacking arrivals Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.com, the former Director gave the view that the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer business in attacking areas has represented a move towards reliable players who will strengthen their team.

After the shock departure of Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea, the Nerazzurri wasted no time in beginning their search for attacking reinforcements but there was no doubt that making up for the Belgian’s absence would be close to impossible.

The players who the club turned to in the end are both experienced in Serie A, with Dzeko having played for Roma and Correa having spent three seasons under Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi at Lazio.

For Bonato, these choices show that the club want to ensure that there is still attacking quality in the team and that they can depend on their forward options.

“Given their technical characteristics they are prudent and intelligent choices,” he said, “Dzeko and Correa are valuable reinforcements.”
