Inter could make a last-minute swoop for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca before the end of the transfer window, but they would face competition from the likes of Cagliari and Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the 22-year-old is in the sights of the Bianconeri as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Inter and Cagliari.

The Nerazzurri still have Scamacca on their radar, and would move for him should young striker Martian Satriano be allowed to depart on loan before the transfer window closes.

However, Juventus are also interested in the 22-year-old, having already tried to sign him in January, and with Ronaldo looking to be on his way out they too are weighing up a late push for the player as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Cagliari are also keenly interested in Scamacca having lost Giovanni Simeone to Hellas Verona, and they could have the advantage over both of their rivals for the player in that they could offer him a starting spot, something neither Inter nor Juventus would.

Regular playing time is reportedly an important consideration for Scamacca, and so he could opt to join Cagliari over the Scudetto rivals.

However, it remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will make a move for the Italian at all, as they would only do so should Satriano leave the club on loan.
