Joaquin Correa’s incredible performance last night in his debut proved Inter’s €31 million investment was well spent.

As reported by today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old Argentinian forward’s brace was instrumental in securing the Nerazzurri’s win yesterday, with the new signing receiving the man of the match award.

Correa’s brilliant through ball to Barella was also highlighted, showing he has multiple facets to his game.

The former Lazio man’s performance is the first step in helping the Inter faithful move on from Romelu Lukaku, following his disappointing departure to Chelsea.

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter also knew how to suffer without panicking, with Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal helping to change the game.

The Nerazzurri now have a short break until their next game, which will be against Sampdoria on 12th September.

Hopes are high that Correa will continue his decisive performances under Inzaghi, who was incredibly keen to bring the player to Milan this summer.
