Inter forward Edin Dzeko played well in yesterday’s win over Hellas Verona, despite failing to find the back of the net.

As collected by Italian media outlet Linterista earlier today, the 35-year-old Bosnian veteran had a good game against the Gialloblu, often being involved in buildup play and matching coach Simone Inzaghi’s tactics.

The former Roma and Manchester City man still lacks a good understanding with Argentinian forward Lautaro Martinez, but his performance was still deemed more than sufficient by the various Italian newspapers.

Milan based Gazzetta dello Sport gave Dzeko a 6 rating, which Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport agreed with.

Turin based newspaper Tuttosport was a little more positive, giving Dzeko a 6.5 rating for his goalless performance.

The 35-year-old Dzeko, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, had a strong debut last weekend against Genoa, scoring a goal and providing an assist. He will be hoping to find the back of the net again against Sampdoria after the international break.
