Lautaro Martinez has agreed to renew his contract with Inter, with the official announcement expected shortly.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio earlier today, the 24-year-old Argentinian forward will receive €6 million net per season plus add-ons in the new deal, being happy to be a part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s project in Milan.

It’s still undecided whether the deal will be for four or five years, but the detail isn’t a concern to either party.

Following the departure of Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea earlier this summer, Lautaro is set to become the next big star of the Milanese club.

The 24-year-old Lautaro scored in his season debut last night against Hellas Verona, providing the equaliser before being taken off in place of Joaquin Correa, who went on to score a brace.

The Argentinian forward is happy to be joined by his national teammate, who completed his transfer from Lazio earlier this week.
