Inter and AC Milan are both interested in signing Brest midfielder Romain Faivre.

As reported in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Il Giornale, Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta has been following the 23-year-old French midfielder for some time now, and was aiming to sign the player in next summer’s transfer window.

However, he may have to change his plans, with the Rossoneri also closely following the former Monaco man.

Inter will have to monitor the situation closely, as there’s a chance that they’ll risk losing Faivre to their intercity rivals AC Milan.

The 23-year-old Faivre, who is contracted to Brest until 2025, provided two assists in the recent 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain, being a talismanic figure within the squad.

Last campaign, Faivre made 36 Ligue 1 appearances, for a total of 2902 minutes. In that time, he scored six goals and provided five assists, being a creative driving force for the rest of his teammates.
