Inter youngster Edoardo Vergani will join fellow Serie A side Salernitana on a free transfer.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio earlier today, the 20-year-old Italian forward will join the Campania based club on a permanent deal, making the move down south on a free transfer.

Inter may still be able to earn something from the departure of Vergani, however, as they included a clause that guarantees them 30% of a future resale, which could see them earn a significant amount if the player develops well.

Vergani was contracted to Inter until 2023 but did not impress with the Primavera squad enough to justify promotion to the first team, with coach Simone Inzaghi instead preferring fellow youngster Martin Satriano.

The 20-year-old Vergani made 31 appearances for Inter’s Primavera squad in his time with the club, for a total of 1149 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and provided two assists.
