Italian journalist Paolo Condo thought that Inter had a serious chance to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia (via FcInterNews) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian journalist commented on the teams that Juventus and the Nerazzurri will face in their Champions League groups.

“Juve will have to face the wall of Chelsea, who are really hard to beat at this stage of the season. I see it as more possible for Inzaghi’s Inter to beat Real Madrid.

“It’s true, however, that there are two top teams in Juve’s group, not three.”

Inter will face Real Madrid, Roberto De Zerbi’s Shakhtar Donetsk and competition debutant Sheriff Tiraspol in Group D.

Coach Simone Inzaghi managed to guide Lazio to the Champions League Round of 16 last season and so will be hoping to match or improve upon that with Inter this campaign.

The Nerazzurri’s first game of the competition will be against Real Madrid on 15th September, after the upcoming international break.

Last campaign, Antonio Conte failed to guide Inter to the knockout stages of the competition. The Nerazzurri finished bottom of their group, two points behind third place Shakhtar Donetsk.
