Injured Inter forward Alexis Sanchez expects to be fit in time to face Sampdoria after the international break.

As reported by today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, the 32-year-old Chilean forward has been suffering from a muscle injury this month that forced him to miss the first two games of the season against Genoa and Hellas Verona.

The former Barcelona player is currently working hard on his recovery at the Nerazzurri’s training ground in Pinetina and is expecting to be fit in time to face Sampdoria on the weekend of the 11-12th September, after the international break.

His imminent return has convinced Inter’s management not to push for another forward in the transfer window, with 20-year-old Uruguayan forward Martin Satriano being coach Simone Inzaghi’s fifth choice striker.

The 32-year-old Sanchez scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 30 league appearances last campaign under previous coach Antonio Conte.
