Inter target Gianluca Scamacca looks set to stay at his current club Sassuolo despite being linked with a move away throughout the summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that after meetings today, the 22-year-old looks likely to remain with the Neroverdi past the end of the summer transfer window.

Scamacca, who spent last season on loan with Genoa, has been tracked by a number of clubs during the transfer window, with the player having come onto the Nerazzurri’s radar in particular during their search for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.

However, the meeting between the player’s agent and his current club look as though they could prove decisive, and the possibility of a late move to another club in the next couple days looks to be very unlikely, meaning that Inter are out of the race for the young striker for the time being.
