Inter-owned wing-back Valentino Lazaro’s transfer to Benfica has not yet been officially announced, but it looks to be all but done and has been hinted at by the player’s agent on Instagram.
Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr posted a picture of himself and Lazaro on a jet to Lisbon where the Austrian is expected to finalize his move to the Portuguese giants.
Lazaro is out of favour at the Giuseppe Meazza having failed to cement a place for himself since joining the club from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, and he has been expected to depart for much of the summer since returning from a loan with Borussia Monchengladbach last season.
Benfica look to have finally gotten the deal just about over the line after having been pursuing the 25-year-old for several weeks, and the player will hope that he can have a successful spell in the Portuguese capital next season.
