Inter are set to begin talks with defender Milan Skriniar to extend his contract with the club sometime next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, who report that the club will meet with him sometime mid-September to start the process of renewing his deal.

Skriniar’s current deal with the Nerazzurri is set to expire at the end of June 2023, and the club are hoping to secure his future well beyond this date, and will look to get his contract situation sorted out soon.

The club are expected to offer the 26-year-old salary terms of around €4 million net per season plus add-ons to convince him to commit his future.

Skriniar is a vital player in the Nerazzurri team and a pillar of the defense under Simone Inzaghi as he had been under Antonio Conte, and keeping him on will be high on the club’s agenda.
