Inter have not felt the loss of Romelu Lukaku as keenly as many might have expected so far, with the new attacking signings Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa ensuring that their attack still looks strong.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who argue that the pair of new signings have brought new qualities rather than replacing the Belgian directly, and that along with Lautaro Martinez the Nerazzurri now have a wealth of different and complementary attacking options.

Dzeko enjoyed a dream debut against Genoa on the opening weekend of Serie A, scoring and assisting a goal, while Correa came off the bench against Verona to score two goals to gain three points for his new club.

Neither of the duo act as direct replacements for the departed Lukaku, but in them the Nerazzurri have acquired to players whose qualities are well-known in Serie A and who have so far shown them off well.

Alongside Martinez, they can ensure that despite the massive loss represented by Lukaku’s departure, the transition to a new attack can come with no loss of quality or prolific scoring.
