Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is working hard at his recovery from a calf injury, and he could return as soon as the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria after the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Chilean is following a personalized recovery plan which is progressing well, and that he could be available for the trip to face Sampdoria.

Sanchez has already missed the first two matches of the Serie A season with Inter due to a persistent calf problem which he has been dealing with for much of the summer, and he is also not with the Chilean national team during the international break as he continues to try and put the knock behind him.

A return to the pitch could not be far off for the 32-year-old, however, who could finally be in the right condition to play in time for the encounter with Sampdoria in Genoa.

The club will not rush Sanchez back for the match, but there is hope that he will be ready by that time.
