Inter target Andre Onana will not leave Ajax this summer, with the Cameroonian goalkeeper set to remain with his current club and not set for a move before the transfer deadline.

This according to today’s print edition of Dutch newspaper NOS, who report that the 25-year-old will not receive any last minute moves away from the Dutch champions.

Onana is reportedly high on the Nerazzurri’s list of players to replace captain Samir Handanovic, who is 37 and not expected to have a future with the club for much longer.

The Cameroonian can be brought in on a free transfer next summer should he not renew his contract with Ajax which is currently set to expire at the end of June 2022.

Onana is currently still serving a one-year doping ban, though he will be able to return to training with his Ajax teammates on September 4 and will be eligible to make his return to the pitch on November 6.
