Inter midfielder Lucien Agoume as complete his loan move to Ligue 1 side Brest, and he is looking forward to the experience of playing in Ligue 1.

Speaking during his unveiling as a Brest player, as reported by FCInterNews, the 19-year-old outlined his ambitions for the season and explained why he believes that he is in the right place for his situation as a player.

Agoume spent last season on loan with newly-promoted Spezia, but he did not receive regular playing time with the Ligurian outfit, making only twelve appearances and nine starts in Serie A during his time at the club.

This was not considered to be enough for a player whose burgeoning talent needs room to grow and who needs experience to become comfortable within the senior game.

For this reason, he is glad to be returning to Ligue 1 for this season, and hopes that his time with Brest will put him back on track to grow into a top player, and the Nerazzurri will be hoping this as well.

“I am very happy to come here and I hope to find continuity and success while having fun,” Agoume said of his new club. “Ligue 1 has become more serious in recent years with the arrival of players like Neymar or Messi – there are also many young people who get the chance to play.”

He went on, “After leaving France as a young player for Inter, I made a personal choice to return to my homeland to be able to play and make a name for myself. I want to help this team.”
