Inter striker Facundo Colidio is set to join Austria Vienna on loan for the rest of the season, with the deal expected to be done before the transfer deadline.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Austrian side are close to wrapping up a deal for the Argentine, who they will sign on loan with the option to buy him on a permanent basis.

Colidio returned to Inter this summer from Belgian side Sint-Truiden, but he is not thought to have been expected to have a place in the future plans and the club have been looking for a new destination for him.

The Austrian Bundesliga looks to be the 21-year-old’s next challenge, and he will hope that he can do more to impress and to establish himself in the senior game with Austria Vienna than he had managed to during the past two seasons in Belgium.
