Austrian wing-back Valentino Lazaro has complete his move from Inter to Benfica on a season-long loan.

This is confirmed by the Portuguese giants in a tweet where they announce the arrival of the 25-year-old, with the move having been fully wrapped up.

Benfica have been pursuing Lazaro for several weeks, with the Lisbon-based club having been in pole position to win the chase for his signature but not having been able to get a deal for him done until now.

However, they have finally gotten the move wrapped up, and the player will play for them next season as they hope to compete for the Portuguese league title and in the Champions League.

Lazaro had been out of favour at the Nerazzurri and expected to leave this summer, with the Austrian having failed to cement a place for himself in the starting eleven since joining from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, and will hope that he can find success on his adventure in Lisbon.
