Inter forward Alexis Sanchez’s recovery from the calf injury which has troubled him for much of the summer is going well.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Chilean’srehabilitation process is on track and that coach Simone Inzaghi is monitoring the developments with an aim to getting him back into the squad in due course.

Sanchez has been dealing with a persistent calf problem for much of the summer, with the midfielder having missed all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with Chile and also having been ruled out of preseason training with the Nerazzurri and out of the first two Serie A matches of the season.

However, the 32-year-old is working hard in training individually to get past the injury setback and return to the squad, and this process is moving along.

Meanwhile, midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has returned to training with the rest of the squad and with Inzaghi, having recovered from a knee injury sustained in training a few weeks ago.
