Inter-owned wing-back Valentino Lazaro has officially made the switch to Portuguese giants Benfica on loan for the rest of the season, and the 25-year-old is glad to be starting his adventure in a new city and a new league, where he will hope to show his best.
Posting on his Instagram account, Lazaro holds up a Benfica shirt, and includes a message to supporters of the Lisbon-based club where he makes clear that he can’t wait to start playing for his new club.
Lazaro’s message reads: “New country, new club, new chapter. Playing for Benfica from now on is a great honour and an exciting challenge that I am looking forward to and for which I will give 100%. I want to be successful here together with you. The Estádio da Luz is my new home from now on and I am sure that I will feel very comfortable here. Let’s go for it.”
