Young Inter-owned striker Samuele Mulattieri has been off to a whirlwind start to his loan spell with Serie B club Crotone.

This is highlighted by Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report in today’s print edition that the 20-year-old’s four goals already scored across the Italian second division and the Coppa Italia have made him a major hit so far for the Calabrians.

The young striker spent last season on loan in the Dutch Eerste Divisie with Volendam, where he scored prolifically and impressed with his overall form.

A number of clubs came forward for Mulattieri’s signature over the summer, but it was Crotone who won the chase in the end, bringing the player in to try and help fire bid to return to Serie A after being relegated last season.

So far Mulattieri has scored twice against Como and once again against Cittadella in Serie B, in addition to bagging a goal in the Coppa Italia against Brescia.
