Inter remain uncertain about whether Alexis Sanchez will be available for the Sampdoria clash on September 12, and will not rush the Chilean forward back to action.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 32-year-old is still working on his recovery from injury, and it is not yet known whether he will be ready to make his return to the pitch in time for the first Serie A fixture after the international break.

Sanchez has been struggling with a persistent calf problem for much of the summer, with the Chilean having missed all but 45 minutes of the Copa America with his country and subsequently been ruled out of the Nerazzurri’s first two Serie A matches of the season.

The player is on track to get past the injury setback, but as of yet it is not clear whether this will be before the Sampdoria match or whether he will have to wait longer than that to make his return.
