Young Inter-owned striker Facundo Colidio will not spend the season on loan with Austria Vienna as expected, with the move having collapsed.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 21-year-old’s transfer to the Austrian side on loan did not go through and that Turkish side Rizespor now look to be the likeliest destination for him.

Colidio returned to Inter this summer from a two-year loan spell with Belgian club Sint-Truiden, and the Argentine’s future was unclear with no place for him at the Giuseppe Meazza, and a number of possibilities were considered for loan moves away.

Austria Vienna looked to be the club who had been settled on for a move, but the transfer move fell through and he remains at Inter with the transfer deadline for much of Europe having passed.

The window still hasn’t closed in the Turkish league, and Rizespor have come forward with an interest in Colidio, and they could still complete a loan deal for him.
