Inter’s Alexis Sanchez will still not be available for selection when the side travels to Genoa to face Sampdoria next weekend, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, everyone will be available to Simone Inzaghi for the side’s third game of the new campaign except for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean striker suffered a calf injury whilst on international duty with Chile in the summer and he has not been rushed back from the injury to avoid further aggravations in the future.

It is assumed that he is very close to making a full recovery and Simone Inzaghi will be thrilled to have another quality option available to him at the top of the pitch.

Alexis Sanchez has been slowly increasing his workload in training but it is not clear exactly when he will be fit again, which is why Martin Satriano has remained with the squad.
