The confusing and disrupted summer that new Inter player Denzel Dumfries experienced is the reason why he has not seen much action at Inter so far, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Denzel Dumfries had almost none of the usual preparation that players tend to have before they start a new campaign. This is for a number of reasons.

It is partly down to Euro 2020, which meant the Dutchman had to quarantine on his return to The Netherlands. He then made it clear to his previous club, PSV Eindhoven, that he wants to be sold.

In order to make his point clear, he trained alone away from the rest of the team. This is not as effective as being part of a group and because of how late the move to Inter happened, he is now lacking sharpness.

Simone Inzaghi will ease him into the Inter starting eleven.
