Inter are set to try and extend the contract of four or five different first-team players to ensure the long-term success of the side, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, the development in contract talks between Inter and Lautaro Martinez should act as a catalyst for other Nerazzurri who players who need to start having the same discussions with the club.

Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella are both in need of new deals, particularly the Croatian. His deal expires in the summer of 2022 so the club must find a salary agreement with him very soon.

The attention also needs to turn to the backline to secure the futures of central defenders Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.

The former has been a transfer target for many teams, particularly Tottenham Hotspur, over the past two or three seasons.

This will be the next job for Beppe Marotta.
