An Italian broadcast journalist has explained that he does not think Inter will retain their 2020/21 Scudetto this season after a turbulent summer, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during the Radio Goal broadcast on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Valter De Maggio explained that he does not believe the poor start by Juventus to the new campaign will stop them from winning the Scudetto.

“I don’t let myself be enchanted by one point in two games, I think that Juventus are still favourites.

“The weak point was Ronaldo, Juve just had to get rid of him.

“Napoli are fourth on the grid for me, after Inter and Atalanta.”

Juventus have only taken one point from their first two matches despite not playing any of the bigger teams in the league.

They drew 2-2 with Udinese on the opening weekend and then suffered a shock defeat at home to newly promoted Empoli on the second weekend.

As for Inter, who Valter De Maggio seems to think will finish either second or third, they have won both of their opening games.

The first was a 4-0 defeat of Genoa at San Siro, and the second was a 3-1 away win at Hellas Verona.
