Stefano Sensi could be set to make a start for Inter against Sampdoria next weekend after his low level of involvement for Italy so far this week, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, the Italian midfielder did not come off the bench in Italy’s World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria this week which suggest he will not be playing a huge amount of football during the international break.

For this reason, Simone Inzaghi may decide to start him in the match against Sampdoria, keeping the likes of Nicolo Barella fresh for the match against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage.

Similar decisions are being made in the attack by Simone Inzaghi because Joaquin Correa and Lautaro Martinez will not be back in Italy until 36 hours before the trip to Sampdoria.

That means that Edin Dzeko is likely to start in attack for Inter.
