Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal may be given the chance to start the game against Sampdoria after the international break so that other players can have a rest, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, the Chilean midfielder could be in line for his first start of the season when the team heads to Genoa to face Sampdoria.

This is for a variety of reasons. The main one is that by playing Arturo Vidal against Sampdoria, Simone Inzaghi can give a rest to Hakan Calhanoglu so that he is much more refreshed and ready to attack Real Madrid in the following Champions League group stage game.

As well as that though, Simone Inzaghi may be rewarding Arturo Vidal for his very good performances off the bench in the two opening games of the season.

He was particularly impressive against Genoa with a goal and an assist.
