Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez is still hoping to get his move to Inter in January after the transfer fell apart during the summer, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FcINternews today, the Uruguayan was very unhappy to have not been able to make the move that he thought would definitely happen in the summer.

He had agreed on personal terms with Inter and then the clubs also seemed very close to agreeing on the deal. Then there was a disagreement over the loan fee. Cagliari wanted slightly more than Inter were willing to pay.

By the time this delay had happened, Denzel Dumfries had become available for a cheaper price from PSV Eindhoven so Inter went in that direction instead.

Nahitan Nandez would still be a good versatile option for Inter in the midfield so his dreams of moving to Milan may not be over yet.
