The former owner and chairman of Inter, Massimo Moratti, has expressed his fondness of Simone Inzaghi’s new-look Inter team, according to a report in the Italian print media.

In an interview with Il Messaggero, Massimo Moratti explained that he likes this current Inter side that has been revamped over the summer, and also shared his opinions on two former Inter coaches.

“I like this Inter side.”

The focus on ex-Inter boss Jose Mourinho continued as Massimo Moratti explained the incredible effect that a happy Jose Mourinho can have on a team and on the whole club.

” I am very happy for him, he has a wonderful opportunity, and I’m happy for the Roma fans.

“José gives crazy confidence to his fans, and I am sure, indeed I know, that by now everyone is waking up in the morning and they are happy because they have Mourinho as coach. He has this effect.”

Massimo Moratti also explained how Jose Mourinho’s new AS Romas side look confident and appear to already be playing some great football. The ex-Inter chairman believes that his appointment is the most interesting element of the season.

“His interplay with Roma already seems perfect. He absolutely wants to win, as he always has in his career.

“He is happy and energized, he faces everything with great professionalism. He builds enthusiasm.

“I don’t see him fighting for third or fourth place.”

The other coach he discussed was Roberto Mancini, who was sacked at Inter to make way for Jose Mourinho. He recently won Euro 2020 as Italy coach.

“At the European Championships, he accomplished a wonderful feat. He is a man who has always been talented.

“As a coach he has learned to dominate emotions, now he always has the move or the right word. I admire him.”
