The contract extensions for Inter executives that Steven Zhang promised during the summer are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the three men who have helped rescue Inter’s fortunes over a difficult summer will be offered new contracts by Suning very soon.

Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio, and Dario Baccin were given what seemed a near-impossible task at the beginning of the summer.

They were told by Suning to end the window with at least €80 million of profit from transfers, as well as reducing the wage bill by at least 15%.

This is what led to the sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku. Just 40% of that money raised has been reinvested in the squad but the men appear to have managed to build an effective squad that has won its first two games.
