Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is expected to start for his national team this evening as they face Ecuador in a World Cup qualifying match, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FcINternews, Chile are likely to line up in their usual 3-5-2 system for the match against Ecuador. The side have a point to prove after they were eliminated by Brazil at Copa America in the summer.

Arturo Vidal will form part of the midfield three as he is still a very integral part of the Chilean national set up. Due to his very high wages, Inter were hoping that they could sell the midfielder this summer to save some important money.

Many teams were linked with him but the move did not materialise. In the first two games of the new Serie A season however, Arturo Vidal has been extremely impressive for the Nerazzurri.
