Inter midfielder Matias Vecino is expected to start as a defensive midfielder just in front of the Uruguay backline when the team face Bolivia later tonight, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FcINternews, Uruguay are expected to line up in a 4-3-2-1 formation, which is what they used in the recent 1-1 draw with Peru.

Matias Vecino would be in the middle of that midfield three and is expected to sit deeper than anyone else, acting as a screen in front of the Uruguayan defence.

Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde and Juventus’ Rodrigo Bentancur would be either side of him.

The Cagliari midfielder that Inter were extremely close to signing this summer, Nahitan Nandez, is also expected to start the game. He will occupy the right back spot, as many thought he would do for Inter this season.

Matias Vecino will be keen to show that he is still useful to Inter.
