Simone Inzaghi Is One Win Away From Matching Antonio Conte’s Inter Start, Italian Media Report

New Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is now one win away from matching the start that Antonio Conte made to his time at Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by L’Interista, Simone Inzaghi needs to win away at Sampdoria next weekend to match the start made by his predecessor Antonio Conte.

The ex-Italy, Chelsea, and Juventus boss won his first three matches in charge in 2019, beating Lecce, Cagliari, and Udinese.

Simone Inzaghi has now beaten Genoa and Hellas Verona, meaning a win against Sampdoria would draw him level with the Scudetto winning coach and fill the Inter fans with confidence.

In terms of the quality of opponents, there is not much to read into as the three teams that Antonio Conte faced are of similar ability to those that Simone Inzaghi is facing.

A win over Sampdoria would show that Simone Inzaghi is not going to take the team backwards.
