Simone Inzaghi’s father has revealed that the new Inter boss sometimes drives Inter CEO Beppe Marotta to the training ground, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giancarlo Inzaghi explained that his son will often drive to the Appiano Gentile training complex with his boss in the passenger seat next to him.

“Simone lives in the centre, a beautiful house near Bosco Verticale. Every now and then he gives a ride to Marotta towards Appiano.”

Giancarlo Inzaghi also points out that Simone Inzaghi takes this opportunity to talks through some players that he would like the club to sign for him.

“On the way he takes the opportunity to point out some players. You never know.”

It has been reported that Simone Inzaghi has an incredibly positive relationship with CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio which is what made the summer go a bit smoother than many had expected it to.

After selling Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi many feared the club would be too weak to even try and defend the Scudetto, but now they look capable.
