Inter-owned striker Andrea Pinamonti has no doubt that newly-promoted Serie A side Empoli are the right club for him to showcase his talents this season.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the Sporting Director of the Tuscan club Pietro Accardi explained that Pinamonti had no doubt about his choice to join on loan.

Pinamonti always looked likely to depart from the Giuseppe Meazza on loan this summer, with the 22-year-old not likely to get much playing time having been out of favour last season and not factoring significantly into the plans of head coach Simone Inzaghi this season.

A number of clubs showed an interest in the striker, but it was Empoli who got a deal over the line, and as Accardi revealed, the player felt that they are a good fit.

Pinamonti will reunite with manager Aurelio Andreazzoli, with whom he worked while at Genoa, and will look to lead the line for the Tuscan side in their bid to stay up in Serie A after having been promoted in impressive style as Serie B champions.

“Much has been said about Pinamonti,” Accardi explained, “but in reality he immediately gave the ok on the move. After that, Inter gave us their demands and we talked.”
