Inter forward Alexis Sanchez is close to having completed his recovery from a calf injury, and he could be back with the rest of the squad very soon.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 32-year-old could make his return to full training this week in view of being available for selection as early as the Champions League clash with Real Madrid next Wednesday.
Sanchez has been following a personalized rehabilitation regimen to get over a persistent calf problem, but a meeting with Nerazzurri medical staff yesterday confirmed that his recovery is on track and that he is close to being ready to train again.
The Chilean has missed the first two Serie A fixtures as well as the international break with his country, having also been ruled out of participating in all but 45 minutes of the Copa America over the summer and out of the preseason with his club, but the end could be in sight for his injury struggles.
