Inter duo Stefano Sensi and Alessandro Bastoni look set to start for the Italian national team in their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Lithuania tomorrow evening.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that Azzurri boss Roberto Mancini will likely turn to the Nerazzurri pair while their club teammate Nicolo Barella is set to be rested after playing the previous two qualifiers of the international break.

Mancini will likely rotate his squad for the Lithuania clash, with keeping players fit and avoiding exhaustion a priority during the compact schedule of the international break and little respite in the hectic club schedule.

As such, a number of the regular starters who the manager utilized for Italy’s previous two matches against Bulgaria and Switzerland could be given a rest, starting on the bench.

This is likely to be the case for Barella, while Sensi and Bastoni will be given a chance to shine from the start as Mancini looks to make use of his whole squad.

The predicted lineup is as follows:

Italy (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Di Lorenzo, Acerbi, Bastoni, Biraghi; Locatelli, Sensi, Pessina; Bernardeschi, Kean, Chiesa
