Young Irish forward Kevin Zefi has joined Inter from Irish side Shamrock Rovers.
This is confirmed by Rovers in an announcement on their official site where they state that the 16-year-old has left the club to join the Nerazzurri.
It is not yet clear what Zefi’s development path will look like with Inter, though he will not yet join the first team and could link up with the Primavera team or elsewhere in the youth sector.
So far Zefi has appeared for Rovers at Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and first-team level, and the Nerazzurri will hope that he can make the step up to the level of Italian football and prove himself to be a valuable contributor.
The 16-year-old is considered a major prospect even if he is not yet fully developed as a talent, and he could be a player who works his way through the ranks at the Giuseppe Meazza.
