Legendary former Inter defender Ivan Cordoba has paid tribute to one of the Nerazzurri’s greatest every players, commemorating the lasting legacy of Giacinto Facchetti after another Inter great Javier Zanetti payed tribute to him on social media.
Cordoba followed up Zanetti’s post with a message on his own Instagram account paying tribute to the great former defender, who died in 2006 but who would have celebrated his birthday over the weekend were he still alive.
Cordoba’s message reads: : “A man of the past, an upright, professional and a great example for all of us Interisti. As our captain says – ‘You are always here with us'”
