Inter could likely rely on the likes of Stefano Sensi, Danilo D’Ambrosio, and Edin Dzeko in their Serie A match away against Sampdoria on Sunday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi will turn to the trio in the first fixture back from the international break.

Inter and Inzaghi will have to deal with the selection headache of having their four active South Americans returning from the break late, including two Argentine strikers Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa.

For this reason, it is not likely that either of the Argentines will appear from the start at the Marassi, as neither will be able to train with the squad until Saturday afternoon.

Instead, Inzaghi will likely use the same setup he did against Sampdoria’s city rivals Genoa on the opening day of the season, with Stefano Sensi playing as an attacking midfielder behind Edin Dzeko who will lead the line.

Meanwhile, Slovak international Milan Skriniar could be given a rest against Sampdoria, and Danilo D’Ambrosio play in his place.
