Inter target Lorenzo Insigne is not letting contract talks with his current club Napoli get to his head, and is fully committed to the Partenopei.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, as reported by FCInterNews, the 30-year-old was totally unequivocal that his only concern this season is succeeding with his current club.

Napoli captain Insigne is out of contract at the end of June 2022, and with talks on an extension stalled a number of clubs are following his situation with a view to potentially signing him on a free transfer next summer, Inter foremost among them.

It remains to be seen if the winger will find an agreement with his club on a new deal or not, and if not whether the Nerazzurri will win the chase for his signature, but for now he is not concerning himself with these matters and only considers himself to be a Napoli player.

“I don’y let myself be affected by the contract situation, neither when I wear the Napoli shirt nor when I wear the play for the national team,” he said. “When I’m here I focus on Italy, when I’m in Naples I focus on Napoli.”
